راه بهشت
پیاده‌روی درازی بود، تپه بلندی بود، آفتاب تندی بود، عرق می‌ریختند و به شدت تشنه بودند. در یک پیچ جاده دروازه تمام مرمری عظیمی دیدند که به میدانی با سنگفرش طلا باز می‌شد و در وسط آن چشمه‌ای بود که آب زلالی از آن جاری بود. رهگذر رو به مرد دروازه‌بان کرد: «روز به خیر، اینجا کجاست که اینقدر قشنگ است؟»
دروازه‌بان: «روز به خیر، اینجا بهشت است.»
- «چه خوب که به بهشت رسیدیم، خیلی تشنه‌ایم.»
دروازه‌بان به چشمه اشاره کرد و گفت: «می‌توانید وارد شوید و هر چه قدر دلتان می‌خواهد بوشید.»
- اسب و سگم هم تشنه‌اند.
نگهبان: واقعأ متأسفم. ورود حیوانات به بهشت ممنوع است.
مرد خیلی ناامید شد، چون خیلی تشنه بود، اما حاضر نبود تنهایی آب بنوشد. از نگهبان تشکر کرد و به راهش ادامه داد. پس از اینکه مدت درازی از تپه بالا رفتند، به مزرعه‌ای رسیدند. راه ورود به این مزرعه، دروازه‌ای قدیمی بود که به یک جاده خاکی با درختانی در دو طرفش باز می‌شد. مردی در زیر سایه درخت‌ها دراز کشیده بود و صورتش را با کلاهی پوشانده بود، احتمالأ خوابیده بود.
مسافر گفت: روز به خیر
مرد با سرش جواب داد.
- ما خیلی تشنه‌ایم.، من، اسبم و سگم.
مرد به جایی اشاره کرد و گفت: میان آن سنگ‌ها چشمه‌ای است. هرقدر که می‌خواهید بنوشید.
مرد، اسب و سگ، به کنار چشمه رفتند و تشنگی‌شان را فرو نشاندند.
مسافر از مرد تشکر کرد. مرد گفت: هر وقت که دوست داشتید، می‌توانید برگردید.
مسافر پرسید: فقط می‌خواهم بدانم نام اینجا چیست؟
- بهشت
- بهشت؟ اما نگهبان دروازه مرمری هم گفت آنجا بهشت است!
- آنجا بهشت نیست، دوزخ است.
مسافر حیران ماند: باید جلوی دیگران را بگیرید تا از نام شما استفاده نکنند! این اطلاعات غلط باعث سردرگمی زیادی می‌شود!
- کاملأ برعکس؛ در حقیقت لطف بزرگی به ما می‌کنند. چون تمام آنهایی که حاضرند بهترین دوستانشان را ترک کنند، همانجا می‌مانند...
